This special Saturday ride on 10 May will leave Costello's at 10:10am NO LATER.
We will watch the Queen of the Mountain points battle at Port Hill, Bengeo. Bring a snack I don't know what food/drink might be available.
Then we will ride to Welwyn Garden City to the finish area. There are events running there all afternoon. I imagine that plenty of options for food and drink will be available. I will set a meeting point and time and all will be free to wander.
This ride will be paced to suit all riders.
Distances: approximately 11 miles to the QOM where we will break (no refreshments so bring your own).
About 10 miles to the finish area. Catering will be available in the town centre as well as possibly at the events area too.
Finally approximately 11 miles to return to Stevenage.
However these mileages depend upon not hitting any road closures!!!

By: Tina WalkerSupporting Disabled Cycling
Hi all, Just putting out feelers to find out if any members would be interested in giving up a little time to help get a disability sub-group going in our area? We are not looking for a massive commitment just a little support initially for a one or two hour sessions after school at or near Greenside School (Shephall Green) this summer.
To find out more please send a message on the contact page.
The idea is that if we trial a couple of sessions and then use the experience to start something next year.

By: Tina WalkerBike Found - Is it yours?
Hello fellow cyclist,
On 3rd April I found a blue Aravis 'Audax' type bike apparently dumped / abandoned on my ride home to Sandy. I'm guessing it was stolen and dumped.
I've reported it to Beds Police – but other than offering to collect it from me they don’t seem hugely interested…….!
I know that the bike was supplied (in whole or part) by Byercycles of Clifton (now no longer trading). The owner has checked his sales records but can't identify the bike / its purchaser.
So I'm contacting local cycle clubs to see if anyone knows who the rightful owner is.
I can supply a picture(s) – but obviously I'd expect the legitimate owner to be able to describe the bike easily.
Please contact me through the website contact page.
