Personal Health Notice

Recently the weather has been rather hot with not much wind and forecasts predict that we are due to have similar weather for the next few months as well and that is why is it extremely important that you protect yourself and stay hydrated while cycling.

If you are riding with us, please make sure you have one or more bottles of drink, sunscreen and sunglasses/a hat to help keep the sun off your face.

Please also try to wear appropriate clothing when cycling. We're aware that some of the lanes can be a little chilly sometimes but the heat is going to have the biggest impact while out riding.

Each rider is responsible for their own actions but we like to make sure that everyone can enjoy our rides fully so please take care.

Blazing Saddles - June 2014

June had some fantastic weather and little rain, making our Bike Week rides and other events a huge success and helping us break records with the number of riders who have been riding with us recently. Here's a quick run down of the Blazing Saddles competition at the end of June.

Alan Baxter is leading the gents competition with an astonishing 145 points, a long way ahead of Jim Brown in second place with 121. Robert Finney sits in third with 76 points but Peter Woolmer is closing the gap on 64.

In the ladies, Lynn Bonnici has taken back first place with 68 points while Jackie Cooper who was first last month now sits on 62. Elaine Walker sits in third for the ladies with a comfortable 58 points, 10 ahead of Jill Borcherds on 48.

The juniors competition has had another shake up with Kieran no longer sitting in first and now falling below his sister Lauren Higham with 29 points while Kieran has 22. Zoe Nuttall is in third with 18 points but Robert Dixon and Chloe Markham are not far behind on 13 points each.
